FRIDAY, AUGUST 24th – 7pm to 10pm – 833 Fort Street
Garden City Electronic Music Society closes out the summer with a special multimedia performance in an abandoned lot in the City’s downtown core. 833 Fort Street is slated for redevelopment and now serves as temporary storefront space serving the Victoria Regional Art Gallery’s pop-up gallery. Behind the building is an open lot surrounded by new concrete and old brick, with a small green space as well. Vancouver’s “The Memory Palace” will perform a live modular electronics set in tandem with live video synthesis and LED lighting by Emma Tomic. Victoria’s Cascadia Sound will also perform live, with DJ dub gnostic opening. This is a FREE event, and part of FUSE 2018: Integrate Arts Festival. The event begins at 7:00pm with live music getting underway at 8:00pm and the visual component as it gets dark.
